Hereford Guild of Guides have been taking part in a Refresher Day, entitled ‘Hidden Gems of Hereford’. The walk on Wednesday 26th April was in preparation of the new season of City Tours, which started of Saturday 6th May.
The group visited the Medieval Hall of the Bishop’s Palace, the Old Mayor’s Parlour in Church Street, the former Conservative Club in East Street, the Booth Hall with its hammer-beam roof, St. Peter’s Church and the Mediaeval Barn in the Cathedral Close.
The Guides lead daily walks, which leave the main entrance of the Cathedral at 11.30 on weekdays and 14.30 on Sundays. Tickets, £4 for adults, £1 for Children may be obtained from the Cathedral Shop or from the Guide if the shop is closed.
