Summer of Play
Play and sports equipment can be borrowed from the Visitor Welcome centre from 20 July – 1 September.
A wonderful chance for your little ones to get active, curious, and creative, with countless ways to play and explore at Berrington Hall.
Challenge the family to the different games and activities, have a go at building a den within the parkland, burn off steam in the natural play area, and tuck into your favourite ice cream from the tea-room or stables café.
All Summer of Play activities are free to take part in (normal admission applies).
Alice in Wonderland – summer holidays trail
Head down the rabbit hole along the summer holiday children’s trail. Follow the classic story of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, finding all the trail points and completing the activities as you go.
This trail will be running from Saturday 20 July to Sunday 1 September. Trails cost £3 per person and include an activity sheet, colouring pencils, and a prize.
Pond Dipping
On 24 July and 31 July you can grab a net and adventure scrapbook and tick off your 50 things list with a visit to the ‘Capability’ Brown designed lake at Berrington. From 11am to 3pm, you can join the ranger team at Berrington’s lake and discover the array of wildlife that lives beneath its surface.
The walk down the the lake is a gradual downhill slope with natural grassy surfaces.
This activity is £2 per child to be paid on arrival at Visitor Reception (normal admission applies). There is no charge for accompanying adults.
