Dick Whittington Pantomime

The Courtyard are back with the purr-fect Christmas Family Pantomime, Dick Whittington.

This Christmas audiences are guaranteed to have a purr-fect evening out at The Courtyard’s pantomime performance of Dick Whittington.

This classic rags-to-riches tale will be brought to life on stage with all the festive fun and excitement that audiences have come to expect from The Courtyard pantomimes. Following a 5-star pantomime of Beauty and the Beast last year, Dick Whittington is sure to surpass expectations this Christmas.

The stage will be set with roads made of gold as we follow the journey of Dick Whittington and his cat, as this famous fairytale is brought to life by the creative dream team Estelle Van Warmelo and Lyndsey Maples.

Dick Whittington tells the story of a young man and his feline friend as they pack up their handkerchief and embark upon an epic adventure seeking fame and fortune in London Town.

As part of The Courtyard’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity there will be a Relaxed Performance, suitable for individuals with autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties or sensory and communication difficulties, on Thursday 4 January at 10.30am. There will also be a Dementia Friendly performance on Thursday 4 January at 2.30pm.

The Courtyard Audio Description Association (CADA) will be audio describing a performance on Saturday 16 December at 2pm and a British Sign Language signed performance will take place on Sunday 17 December at 4pm.

Audiences can expect plenty of familiar references and Herefordshire based jokes, including the return of last year’s stand out performer Andrew Frank better known as Gary Baldi.
