Hereford City Centre Christmas Entertainment
Hereford City Bid have got their Plans for Christmas 2022 underway, and are thrilled to be able to share details and dates for the city’s plans for the festive season.
Hereford Nutcracker Trail
The Festive outdoor nutcracker trail will be installed in late November ready for the beginning of the trail on 21 November.
In a change from the LoyalFree trails, this fun activity trail will ask visitors to use a printed map and worksheet to find the nutcrackers and write down all of their names. To encourage visitors into the city from around the county, the Nutcracker map will feature as part of a mail-out brochure to over 100,000 households advertising the city’s festive offerings.
Live Music & Performances
7 December: late night shoppers can enjoy live music from John Cutler and Band, and the Got2Sing choir!
14 December: from 12:30pm, visitors will be entertained by live music in High Town and on-street performances from the Elvish Pressies (Old Market) and the Elves with their ‘Goodometer’ (High Town) from 15:30pm!
17 – 18 December: for our Christmas Weekend Extravaganza, Hereford will be abuzz with more great music in High Town and street performances in Maylord Orchards, High Town and Old Market.
Christmas Trees
The BID team will be bringing festive cheer to the streets of Hereford with miniature Christmas trees. Twinkling lights will brighten up streets and make sure visitors feel festive and welcome during the winter months.
Dates and location for installation will be announced soon.
Best Christmas Shop Window Award
Always a huge hit at Christmas, our Best Xmas Shop Windows are back for the FIFTH year!
This is your early reminder to start thinking about your decoration for this year; let’s make Hereford feel extra bright and festive.
This campaign will follow the same format as last year and more information will be shared via the Hereford BID Facebook page and emails for details on how to take part.
Christmas Light Switch on
Coordinated in partnership with Maylord Orchards and Old Market, the lights will be switched on Sunday 20th November. The switch-on event will feature a live show in High Town and mark the start of the festive season.
