Music in Quiet Places – Bach and the dance
Part of Music in Quiet Places – A concert of Baroque Music by Maggie Faultless and her ensemble ‘Music for a While’.
Prof. Maggie Faultless is Head of Historical Performance at The Royal Academy of Music and a leading authority on 18th Century music. Her ensemble will work with Herefordshire young musicians during the day, and the evening performance by Music for a While will include a programme of Baroque music for all the family. There will be a masterclass during the day followed by the concert in the evening.
Margaret Faultless is an internationally renowned specialist in historical performance practice, both as a violinist and a director. Performing music from Monteverdi to the present day, she is now best known as an interpreter of eighteenth-century repertoire.
There will also be an organ piece played by the very talented Michael d’Avanzo, an organ scholar in the sixth form at the Cathedral School.
