One Day Pottery Intensive Course
If someone is new to clay, this course will introduce them to making pots on a wheel and hand-building pots. For those who already have some experience, this course will enable them to practice what they already know and extend their knowledge.
In the pottery studio, everyone is encouraged to learn about pottery processes and techniques, and gain practical experience of working with clay. Participants will get to experience both throwing and hand building throughout the day. While there are projects that can be followed for what may be made, participants are encouraged to come along with their own plans and ideas!
The fee includes a delicious lunch and 4 pots glazed and fired in the kilns. Unfortunately, there is no capacity for participants to keep more than 4 pots from the day, so at the end, they will be asked to choose or chuck! The class runs from 10am-4pm, with a lunch break around 12:30pm. It is recommended that the minimum age is 14 when accompanied by an adult on the course and 16 without adult supervision. The studio is accessible for all and will happily accommodate any needs; just let them know! A maximum of 5 spaces are available per booking, so please place two separate orders if more spaces are needed.
