The Gruffalo
Families can enjoy a Julia Donaldson classic; The Gruffalo live on stage as Tall Stories brings its production to The Courtyard this March.
Audiences will join Mouse on a daring adventure through the deep, dark wood in Tall Stories’ magical, musical adaptation of the classic picture book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler. Searching for hazelnuts, Mouse meets the cunning Fox, the eccentric old Owl and the high-spirited Snake.
Tall Stories was founded in 1997 by joint artistic directors Olivia Jacobs and Toby Mitchell. Since 1997 Tall Stories has co-created and staged 31 productions, in 5 languages, in 15 countries, over 6 continents. The company’s most noted and popular productions include The Gruffalo, The Smeds and The Smoos, Room on The Broom, Emily Brown and the Thing, The Snow Dragon and Wilde Creatures.
The company use a physical storytelling style combined with original songs to create a lively theatrical experience that embraces its audience.
The Gruffalo features catchy songs, laughs and monstrous fun for children aged 3 and up and their grown-ups, in the much-loved show that’s toured Britain and the world.
